The Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 is an entry level, over the ears, 2.0 stereo gaming headset.
It's your next step up from the wireless Bluetooth headsets and provides an immersive gaming experience covering the full audio of the game and voice chat capabilities.
The sound quality is decent, around what one would expect for a headset in this price range.
It has plenty of nice features, in-line volume controls, automatic voice chat volume.
Even though it's a 2.0 stereo set there is a more expensive 5.1/7.1 version you can get, however, if you're looking to go for that extra cost you might want to look at something else. Continue Reading to find out why.

First off, this headset is made by Sony. They have a reputation for making reasonably quality stuff and this headset is no exception. However, it's not perfect, it does have it's pros and cons. Is it right for you? Keep reading to find out.
One of this big issues that people may not be aware of when first considering this set is that it does not provide a fully immersive game experience.
By that I mean the sound produced by it is the voice chat only, no actual game sound comes out of it. If you're already well aware of this and are still considering it, continue reading about it's qualities.

This is going to be a fairly short post but there's something I need people visiting this site and looking for the right headset for them to realize and that is:
There are two main types of PlayStation 3 headsets.
One type is designed purely for voice chat, only the voice chat comes through the headset speaker. This can be a good choice if you have some kind of increadible external sound system hooked up to your PlayStation 3.
The other is designed with all game audio and voice chat coming out of the headset speakers. Generally the audio quality of these headsets will be superious to the ones design for voice only.
Additionally, the fully immersive ones usually cost more but the price difference can be very small to signifigant depending on the site. For example the Turtle Beach set, which is a very quality set, is only $10 – $20 more (depending on where you buy) than the Official Sony PlayStation 3 Headset.

Think about that question for a moment. Do you really need a wireless headset?
Really think about it for a sec, lets say your options are, a fairly good sounding headset that is wireless, or an absolutely amazing sounding headset that is wired.
The reason I ask may be obvious to you already. This website is about the best possible playstation 3 headsets.
I'm going to be straight with you right now if you haven't already figured it out. From all the headsets that I, as well as many others have tested, the absolute best headset for playstation 3 is indeed a wired headset. I'd even say the best 2 or 3 headsets are wired. Read the rest of this entry

First of all, let me just say, there is no absolute perfect headset. Every single person has different likes and dislikes and every single headset has it's pros and cons.
A pro to one person may be a con to another or vice-versa. There may be certain factors which are far more important to an individual and far less to another. One person may hate cords, another person may not mind cords so much but hate having to charge their headset every night.
Following are a number of the factors which are important to consider in choosing the best PlayStation 3 headset. Read the rest of this entry

Hey guys, the name's Jordan and I'm a pretty heavy gamer. Mainly I play a lot of multiplayer first person shooters and a few other fast paced multiplayer games.
I started off with mostly PC games but a ton of my friends all had Playstation 3's and were always nagging at me to get one so a little over a year ago now I caved and finally got one.
Now like I said, I play a lot of fast paced multiplayer games and most of them support voice comms, so of course, being able to communicate properly with your teammates in that kind of environmental is very essential to winning.
Which brings me to the reason that I am making this site: Read the rest of this entry
